Albert Zamora Alcorcha

ALCORCHA, Albert Zamora-- born October 7, 1942 in Niles, CA passed from this life at home surrounded by his loving and devoted family on June 10, 2002 in San Jose, CA after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer. Beloved husband of Jesusita. Loving father of Alita Liscano, Juan Reyes, Rio Alcorcha, Priscilla Alcorcha and stepfather of Ruben Castillo. Grandfather to Adriana, Daniel and Emilio. Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Theresa Alcorcha and his brother, Michael Alcorcha. Survived by sisters and brothers; Dora Alcorcha, Rogelio Alcorcha, Maria Alcorcha, Ignacio Alcorcha, and Richard Alcorcha as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Albert served in the US Army from 1961 to 1964. He attended Army Airborne School. Graduate of Ranger course assigned to 82nd Airborne Division. Served in the US Army Reserve until 1967. Albert worked as a Light Rail Maintenance Worker at Valley Transportation Authority until his retirement. Member of ATU, Local 265.Funeral arrangements were handled by CHAPEL OF FLOWERS. A private funeral service was held at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
