Antonio J. Attanasio

ATTANASIO, Antonio J. -- Entered into rest on January 28, 2004. Tony was born in Omaha, NE on October 27, 1927. He moved to San Jose at the age of 12 years. Tony was the beloved husband of the late Virginia Attanasio for 52 years. Loving father of Larry Attanasio, Pleasanton, the late Michael Attanasio, Aptos, David Attanasio, Fremont and Carol Attanasio-Bose, Saratoga. He was a grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 1. He is also survived by brothers Angelo Attanasio and Sam Attanasio, both of San Jose. Sisters, Mary Oliver, Sunnyvale and Virginia Tranisi, Omaha, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Tony was in the Merchant Marines during WWII and retired from being a machinist after 30 years. He enjoyed his family, friends, painting, golf and bowling. Tony was an active member of Holy Cross Church. Please join us for the vigil on Monday, February 2, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, 900 S. 2nd Street, San Jose and Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 580 Jackson Street, San Jose. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice are preferred.
