KRUEGER, Armin Herman -- A longtime San Jose resident, entered peacefully into rest at his San Jose home September 18, 2003. Born in Denmark Wisconsin, September 29, 1917, he was 85. Loving father of Frederick Krueger and his wife Patricia of Santa Rosa, Florence Marchand and her husband Rene of San Jose, and Elizabeth Johannsen of Livermore. He is survived by his five grandchildren: Christine Brinck and her husband Andrew of San Jose, Laura Marchand of San Jose, Stephen Johannsen of San Diego, Michael Johannsen of San Luis Obispo, and Alicia Krueger of Santa Rosa. Two great grandchildren: Matthew and Kendall Brinck of San Jose. He is survived by his sisters Gertrude Dahkle and Ruth Pahnke and brothers Henry Krueger and August Krueger all of Denmark, Wisconsin, and sister-in-law Verna Witzel of Menlo Park, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Louise, his sister Helen Reckelberg and his brothers Julius, William, Immanuel and Gerhard. Armin was a retired conductor for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Golden Spikes Retirees of San Jose, Sons in Retirement and the Italian Mens Club. Armin was an avid fisherman and hunter, loved playing cards, bingo and dancing the polka but most of all he loved his family. Armin will be dearly missed by many friends and family who had the blessing of knowing him. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2003 at the CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, 900 S. 2nd Street, San Jose, California.
