Arturo Medina

Arturo Medina, 82, of San Jose, California died August 7th, 2023. Surrounded by family and loved ones.

He was born January 24th, 1941 in Mexicali, Mexico. The son of late Maria Navarro and Albert Medina. He is the oldest of 8 siblings. The late Angie Upton. Survived by Armida Cabello and Albert Medina. Reconnected and survived by Virgil, Alejandro, Pancho, Paula, Linda Valenzuela.

He met his sweetheart Georgia Sierraz in 1961. They were married September 20th, 1964. The pair liked to travel, camp, fish, gamble and dance. Some of Arturo’s hobbies included jewelry making, wood work, house renovation and macrame.

Arturo was preceded in death by his son Art Medina. He is survived by daughter, Sonia and son in law Victor Medina; daughter, Raquel and son in law Wayne Tarbuskovich; grandchildren Victor, Jessica, Brandy, Lorenzo, Georgia, Zobeida, Victoria, Shanjit and Jasmin; great grandchildren Lorenzo Jr, Ethan, Jazlyn, Evelyn, Abraham, London and Nico.

A service will be held August 25th, 2023 at 12:30pm-3pm at Chapel of Flowers. 900 Second Street, San Jose, 95112.
He will be buried September 20th, 2023 at 1pm at Oak Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park. 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, 95125. Followed by a reception at 3:30pm at Club Rodeo Rio. 610 Coleman Avenue, San Jose, 95110.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that you make a charitable donation to the UCSF Cancer Research and Care or St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital.
