Benny Robert DinapoliOct. 30, 1933 - Feb. 10, 2021Resident of San JoseBen Dinapoli, a longtime resident of Willow Glen Benny In San Jose, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2021 after a sudden illness.He was born in San Jose, CA. He graduated in 1952 from Bellarmine College Preparatory, and San Jose State University, School of Business in 1956.He was a loving husband to Pat and father to Benny, Donna and Dean.Over the years he worked in sales for several companies until 1976 when he became a State Farm Insurance agent in San Jose and Campbell. He enjoyed running his own agency and helping his many clients over the years.He retired in 2000 and enjoyed many years with Pat who passed away in 2012.Ben is survived by his sons Benny and Dean (Nela) Dinapoli, his daughter Donna Chiaramonte (Louis), granddaughters Christine Cumbo (Chris), Brenda Foy (Jeremy), and Theresa Chiaramonte.Great grandchildren Wyatt and Charlotte Cumbo and Lark and Skye Foy.He enjoyed various activities including: traveling, gardening and enjoying his time in Tahoe with the family. He loved his Giants and was a 30+ years season ticket holder. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.He was an active member of the West San Jose Kiwanis Club, and volunteered in many community service events including numerous community food distributions, K-Bell Classic track & field events, and started the Builders Program at Burbank Elementary School. He was a long-time member and past president of the Tricarico Social Club. He also served as a Eucharistic Minister with St. Christopher Church serving the elderly, homebound, and patients at local hospitals.He will be interred at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery in a private service.A memorial celebration of life will be held at a later date when social gatherings can be safely held again.
