Betty Jane GriffithJune 21, 1926-April 23, 2012Resident of San JoseBetty Griffith, 85 passed away in her home in San Jose on Monday April 23. Betty was born in San Francisco. In 1957, she married Bill Griffith and moved to San Jose where she lived with her husband for 51 years until he passed away in 2009. She and her husband met while dancing and they spent the rest of their marriage dancing whenever they could. Betty is survived by her son Bill Griffith Jr., two daughters Susan Chavarria and Arlene Dettore, and their spouses. She was also a proud grandmother of three. There will be a vigil at Chapel of Flowers Funeral Home on Thursday May 3rd from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Mary's Church in Los Gatos on Friday May 4th at 6:00pm. A reception will follow at the church.
