Carmen Sanchez Mendez

Carmen Sanchez Mendez Sept. 6, 1934 - April 10, 2005 Entered into peaceful rest at the age of 70 at her San Jose home. Carmen is survived by her husband of 50 years, John F. Mendez Sr. Loving mother of Deborah (John) Haro of Folsom; Cindy (Cecil) Navarrette of Hollister; John (Patricia) Mendez Jr., of Tracy; and Carol Mendez of Ceres. Carmen's greatest pleasure in life was her grandchildren: Jeanine, Peter, John Paul, Junior, Jonathon, Richard, Jeff, Philip, Rachelle, Michael, Joey, James & Frankie Ray, plus 8 adorable great-grandchildren. Born in El Paso, Texas to the late Rosario & Josephine Sanchez. Carmen is survived by her sisters, Candy & Alice, brother Richard, and many nieces & nephews. Carmen's family & friends will always remember her listening to music and dancing in her kitchen. We will miss her sense of humor and feisty spirit, but are comforted to know she is blessing the heavens and watching over her loved ones. Viewing on Wednesday, April 13 at Chapel of Flowers, from 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Vigil 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services to be held on Thursday, April 14 at Sacred Heart Church, at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Gilroy, Calif.
