UntitledCarmen L. Villegas In Loving Memory GrandmaEcclesiates 7:1 say's 'A name is better than good oil and the day of death then the day of ones being born'. We are sorry to say that we lost another great and beautiful name. The name Carmen Villegas, she died on Sunday, July 16th, 2006 at 5:20 p.m. at Madera Community Hospital, at the age of 94 years old.Why would Solomon say: 'better the day of death then the day of one being born'? Because it isn't until our death that we make a name for ourselves and Carmen was very successful at making a great name not only for herself but for her entire family. She was known for her love, kindness, goodness, long suffering, but most importantly her hospitality. Many say that all you had to know was the address 544 N. 16th Street and you always had a place to dwell. It didn't matter who you were or what you had or didn't have you were always welcome.Carmen had raised and cared for not only her 6 children, but many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, strangers, who eventually became family. One of the greatest acts of love she ever displayed was the way she cared for her husband Jesus Villegas. In Malachi 3:16 it talks about a book of remembrance that God has, and he has promised to remember those we lose in death. With the name she has made for herself, we can be confident that her name has been written in ink and not in pencil. Thank you Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa for all the precious memories and the gift of family that will live always with you both in mind. The FamilyMother of Amparo Villegas, Jessie Villegas, Julian Villegas, Richard Raymond Villegas, Raymond Richard Villegas, Robert Henry Villegas.
