Carol Diacomis DarwinDec. 18, 1917 - April 6, 2016San JoseCarol Diacomis Darwin, 98 was born in North Carolina, the third of 13 children of Arthur & Marie Deese. She married Paul Diacomis of Greece in 1937 and moved to California. They owned a restaurant in Martinez, CA, before moving to San Jose where Carol returned to school and graduated from SJSU as a secondary teacher. Paul died in 1973. Carol worked for the USPS for 41 years without missing a day of work and she was an avid gardener and beekeeper. She married Dale Darwin who is deceased. Her daughter Athena also preceded her in death. Carol is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Cleo and John Constantin and a grandson Tasos and his wife Eva, all of San Jose. Her granddaughter Athena and her husband Nick Gregory live in NY. Carol has five great-granddaughters. Cleopatra and Dimitra Constantin and Anastasia, Valia, and Ariana Gregory. The wake is scheduled for Friday April 15, at 5:30PM at St. Basil the Great Greek Orthodox Church at 6430 Bose Lane, San Jose, Ca.
