Raised in San Leandro, attended San Leandro High, University of California at Berkley and St. Luke's School of Nursing, San Francisco. Her career in nursing began and ended at O'Connor Hospital. She married Rev. John P. Fitzgerald and had one daughter, Jennifer, who survives her. Memorial mass will be held at 9:30am Monday January 8, 2007 at Queen of the Apostles Church 4911 Moorpark Ave. San Jose.
