Cary Russell Kloes8/30/1950-7/1/2015Resident of San JoseCary Russell Kloes, age 64, of San Jose, Calif., passed away July 1, 2015. He was born on August 30, 1950, in Stanford, Calif. He is the son of the late Donald Kloes and the late Marilyn (Alesch) Kloes.On August 20, 1972, he married Cyndi Otto in Los Altos, Calif. Cary and Cyndi were born one day apart, in the same year, at Stanford Hospital. They met in college. Cary graduated from Blackford High School in 1968. He received a Bachelor of Arts and a teaching credential from San Jose State University. Cary went on to earn his MBA from SJSU.Cary was a teacher for five years; first at James Lick and then at Independence. He was "Teacher of the Year" at Independence in 1979. Cary left teaching for a successful 25 year career in the telecommunications industry. Cary spent 20 years with AT&T.Cary was an Eagle Scout. He loved the outdoors, traveling, playing bassoon, cooking, and playing tennis and golf.Cary is survived by his wife, Cyndi Kloes of San Jose, children Matthew (Erin) Kloes, Spokane, Wash., and Natalie (Jeff) Simoneau, San Jose, and his sisters Kandee (Thomas) Linden, Los Gatos; Carla (Stephen) Malvini, Monterey; and Jacquelyn (Steve) Axtell, Seaside.The funeral service is Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Flowers, 900 S Second St, San Jose, CA 95112.
