Catherine (Kitty) Louise PayneResident of San Jose Services will be held this Friday for Catherine (Kitty) Louise Payne, who passed away June 5th at her home in San Jose surrounded by family. She was 91. Born in Higginsville, Missouri, April 27, 1919, Kitty spent most of her adult life in San Jose, CA. She managed Thrifty Dry Cleaners in the 50's while raising three children as a single mother. In 1959, she married Dave Payne. They had one child. Kitty was an avid bowler and seamstress. She enjoyed gardening and home decorating. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports.Kitty is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dave Payne, Sr., her children Jimmie Barnette of Tehachapi, CA, Roy Barnett of Bensalem, PA, Barbara Olsen of Lewiston, ID and David Payne, Jr. of Santa Cruz, CA, 12 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.Services: 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2010 at Chapel of Flowers Funeral Home, 900 S. 2nd St., San Jose, CAIn lieu of flowers, please consider donating to either Hospice of the Valley (www.hospicevalley.org) or National Parkinson Foundation (www.parkinson.org).
