Charles Nicholas Perez Sept. 10, 1946 - April 10, 2009. Born in San Jose, CA. Entered into rest after a lengthy illness due to complications of diabetes. Survived by sons Jason Marcus and Charles Jr., mother Jacobed Caravayo, brothers Larry, Benjamin and Timothy, 2 grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his father Joseph and closest sibling, Diana Lynda. Charles was a self-employed auto mechanic and lived most of his life in the San Jose area. He leaves behind his zest for living life on his own, independent terms, a unique gift as a jokester, his amazing knowledge of cars and the mechanics business, an undiscovered talent for singing his favorite oldies tunes, as well as being a caring father and grandfather. To honor his request and last wishes, cremation has been arranged and will be followed by a small gathering. Family and friends are invited to a remembrance of his life to be held at Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. 2nd St. on Friday, April 17 at 6pm. The "Thrill is Gone" as the title of his favorite song states, but the memory of your stay with us, will linger forever.
