PRICE, Charles Arthur-- age 84 years. Peacefully passed on to the Lord at home in The Villages, San Jose, CA on February 14, 2002 from lung cancer. Beloved husband of Virginia. Loving father of Sarah Elizabeth Bess, Peggy Jean Bakker, Charles Arthur Price Jr., and Cheryl Anne McGovern. Adoring grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 5.Born in Missouri on September 5, 1917. Charles moved to the Bay Area after serving in WWII, where he became the founder and owner of two successful distribution businesses: Price Enterprises and Jet Dragon Fire Works in San Carlos, CA. He was a member of the San Francisco Olympic Club. He will be remembered for giving generously his time and knowledge to the homeless, Boys Town, Salvation Army and other non-profit organizations.A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Foothill Center at The Villages, San Jose, CA.
