He passed away peacefully next to the love of his life of 56 years. He was born in San Jose to Manuel and Elizabeth Freitas. Cliff graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory College in 1958. Afterward, he attended a year of schooling at San Jose City College. Cliff was a hardworking and dedicated employee for the City of San Jose from 1968 thru 2003. Cliff was a very outgoing and personable man. He loved interacting with people on a daily basis. He enjoyed barbecuing and watching sports. He enjoyed taking trips with his family to Lake Tahoe. He was an unselfish and generous husband and father. He always put his family first before his own needs. Cliff is survived by his wife, Joan; son Cliff Jr. (Tami) and grandchildren Evan and Olivia; daughter Terri; and son David.Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in Cliff's honor on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Santa Clara Mission Cemetery in the St. Claire Chapel, 490 Lincoln Street, Santa Clara.
