David Michael Schwartz March 16, 1952 - Nov. 27, 2017FremontBorn in Billings, MT David Michael Schwartz, devoted husband, loving father, and avid hobby cyclist, passed away peacefully in Alameda County. He attended Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, CA., earned a bachelors degree at San Jose State University, and pursued a career as a software engineer in Silicon Valley where he raised two children with his wife of 37 years, Alice Schwartz. He loved snowboarding, biking, and enjoyed maintaining an active and outdoors-based lifestyle. He is survived by his wife Alice Schwartz, his daughters - Erin Schwartz and Mackenzie Schwartz, and two grandsons, Avery Fox and Archer Fox, all of San Jose, CA. He is survived by younger brothers Richard (married to Melanie) Schwartz, Donald (married to Laurie) Schwartz, Doug Schwartz, younger sister Debra (married to Dean) Wycoff, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was led in death by his mother Patricia Schwartz and father Paul Schwartz, both of Billings, MT, and by his younger brother Daniel Schwartz (married to Laurie) Schwartz of Roseville, CA. A funeral vigil will take place on Thursday, December 7 at 5 PM at Chapel of Flowers (900 S 2nd St, San Jose, CA 95112). A funeral mass will take place on Friday, December 8 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady Of Peace Church (2800 Mission College Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95054). In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in David's name to the VMC Foundation which benefits the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
