Deborah Hightower (May 22, 1952 - November 27, 2023)
In loving memory of Deborah Hightower, whose radiant soul graced this world on May 22, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois. Born into a compassionate family, Deborah was the beloved daughter of James and Louise Bragg, now reunited with her departed parents in eternal peace. She shared her childhood with her siblings Willie Clark (Bennie), Sheila Bragg (Larry), Craig Bragg (Norma), the late Dwayne Bragg (Debra), and Dwight Bragg (Nicole).
Following her graduation from Illinois Wesleyan University with a degree in Spanish, Deborah embarked on a journey that led her to embrace the warmth of Sunnyvale, California, and later San Jose. Throughout her fruitful career as a Systems Technician at various esteemed technology companies such as BT North America and MCI, she graced the Santa Clara County Information Services Department until her well-deserved retirement. It was during her time at Tymshare that fate introduced her to Ronnie Hightower, whom she married on March 19, 1982 - an everlasting love she held close even after his departure. A devoted wife and an unwaveringly dedicated employee, Deborah's days were filled with boundless affection for her family and an unquenchable passion for education and literacy.
The memory of Deborah Hightower will forever be cherished by her son Patrick Hightower (Cory) and four beautiful grandchildren - Brandon, Elijah, Jazmine, and Jonathan Hightower - who brought joy to her heart. She leaves behind cherished siblings Willie Clark Sr. (Bennie), Sheila Bragg (Larry), Craig Bragg Sr. (Norma), and Dwight Bragg (Nicole). Her influence also extended to her treasured nieces and nephews - D’Juan Bragg, Willie Clark Jr. (Tonya), Doris Clark (Tony), Kim Clark (Tony), Craig Bragg Jr. (Tanya), Darrin Bragg, Nathaniel Bragg - as well as a multitude of second-generation nieces and nephews.
