Dennis Bruce Mason

Dennis left to be with his parents February 24, 2023 after a long illness. Dennis was born May 2, 1944 to Mervyn and Nancy Mason in San Jose, CA andraised in the Tri-Valley Cannery area of North San Jose. He attended Grant Grammar School and San Jose High School. Dennis discovered a passion for cars in high school. After graduation, he reported to the Ford manufacturing plant in Fremont everyday at 7:00 am for two weeks looking for work. After demonstrating he had no problem showing up ontime, Ford put him to work as a welder. After a few years, Dennis decided to open hisown auto body repair business. He was the owner/operator of Mason's Auto Body formore than 30 years. If he wasn't repairing cars, he was selling them. In his later years he went to work as a salesman for various car dealerships in the bay area including Marx Chevrolet and Carl's Chevrolet. Dennis was also a member of the Retail Clerks Union. He worked at various grocery stores in the San Jose area. In 2006, Dennis met his wife, Myeong. She enjoyed how he could make her laugh in any situation. They married in 2007.Dennis is survived by his wife Myeong; sons Dean and Mark; daughters Nancyand Lisa; Grandchildren Britney, Jeremy, Katelyn, Chad, Michael, Brodi, Jake, andIzabella; nieces Nancy and Theresa; nephews Thomas, James, Jonathan, Robert andTony; brother William. He is preceded in death by his brothers Roland and Mervyn.Services will be held at Chapel of Flowers Funeral Home Thursday March 9.Viewing form 4 to 7 pm. Rosary to begin at 6:30 pm. Mass will be Friday March 10 atat 10:00 am at Holy Cross Church.
