UntitledDonald Joseph PurdyOn September 22nd at the age of 65, Donald passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Kathleen, his loving daughters, Patricia Mackenzie (Marc), Mary Merten (James), Maureen Teubert (Ryan), Margaret Purdy and his grandchildren, Cristin Mackenzie, Kyra Mackenzie and Zachary Merten. Preceeded in death by his father, Donald Purdy III, he is also survived by his mother Bertha Purdy and his siblings, Sarah Olivencia, Cathy Baker Fayal, Phillip Purdy and numerous loving nieces and nephews. A native of California, Don was a Vietnam Veteran, active member of Five Wounds Church and School, Boy Scout leader and an avid outdoorsman that loved nature. He retired from the U.S. Post Office after 27 years. We will forever miss you Double "D". Visitation will take place Monday, September 25th from 2-9pm with rosary service at 7pm at Chapel of Flowers 900 S. 2nd St., San Jose, CA. Catholic Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 26th at Five Wounds Church at 10am. Interment Private.
