Dora Gonzalez Prez

Dora Gonzalez Pérez Long time citizen of San Jose, passed away at home early Saturday, 9/29. She was 82. Born in La Pryor, TX; at 13 she helped to raise her family after the death of her Dad. There upon they moved to San Jose. A member of the Catholic Daughters and co-founder of St. Maria Goretti Parish she was a devout Catholic. She worked for Santa Clara Frosted Foods, Sylvia Cassell School, and Signetics Co. Dora was active in the PTA at Christopher School and Andrew Hill High. Embraced by loved ones, Dora died quietly. The cause was cancer. She's survived by siblings Emma, George & Irma; children Arnold & Dori & grandkids Stephanie, Alexander, Katelyn, and Magnolia. Visitation from 2-7 PM, and Rosary at 7 PM on Friday 10/5 at Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. 2nd St., San Jose. Funeral at 10 AM Sat. 10/6 at Chapel of the Flowers, with Graveside services immediately after at Calvary Cemetery.
