ENDERSON, Duane G.-- passed away September 9th after more than a year of multiple medical problems. Born 1925 in Morgan Hill, a graduate of Live Oak Union High School. He served in the Pacific during WWII as a Naval cryptographer. After returning home, he entered into a career in banking, married and started a family. Retiring as an officer and bank president in banking while residing in NM. He then went on into several successful entrepreneurial ventures, owning and operating a bowling alley and trophy shop, a movie theatre and an Italian restaurant.In 1985 he returned to San Jose to be closer to his family. He resumed working in a semi-retired capacity as a property manager. This allowed him time for his passion of bowling. He belonged to leagues with his brother, fiancee and friends. He also organized many out of town bowling tournaments for his branch of the SIRS. He was a lifelong baseball fan loving the SF Seals and later the SF Giants.Throughout his life he rescued homeless animals and loved many cherished pets. All who knew him enjoyed and appreciated his great sense of humor.He is survived by his brother Edward F. Enderson, sister-in-law Irene Enderson, daughter Lynne and Danielle Enderson, fiancee Sophia Johnson her children and grandson, sister Marguerite Sciba, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.Donations may be made to: Santa Clara Humane Society or American Diabetes Association.
