Edward Joseph VierraFeb. 24, 1934 - Oct. 19, 2017San JoseBorn in Benicia, the only child of Manuel and Theresa Vierra, Edward passed away peacefully on the morning of October 19th. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn, his three children (daughter Coleen & husband Michael, older son Brian and younger son Victor & wife Bonnie), his six grandchildren (Jeff, Nick, Jonathan, Austin, Carly and Storm) and great granddaughter Devon.Not content after "retiring" in 1990 from his 30-year career as teacher and administrator for the East Side Union School District, Ed continued as a substitute teacher within the District for another 22 years.Ed's uniquely meticulous attire, irreproachable integrity and passion for Hollywood and American History made him a true inspiration for the younger generation he taught. His enjoyment of life will never be forgotten by those fortunate enough to have known him. Funeral services will be held Nov. 5th at 11AM, Chapel of Flowers in San Jose, followed by his Celebration of Life at Fiorillo's Restaurant.
