Elizabeth Maher Gilbert

Untitled Elizabeth Maher GilbertWas born April 24, 1929 in Dublin, Ireland, and went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2006 in San Jose, CA. Elizabeth emigrated to the United States from Ireland as a young lady in the 1950's. Elizabeth was a courageous and adventurous person and soon found herself in New York City, and then Washington D.C. While a manager at Lord & Taylor's, she met, fell in love with, and subsequently married Jerold Gilbert in 1959. Elizabeth moved to California in 1975 with her two beautiful daughters, Sinead and Veronica. Before her return to California in 1995, she spent 11 years in North Carolina. Elizabeth also leaves behind her three beloved grandchildren, Mark, Gianna and Bryan. Elizabeth's legacy is one of love, sacrifice and total dedication to her faith in Jesus Christ. We shall all surely miss her.A memorial service in her honor, and to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at 4:00 p.m., in the Home Church, 1799 Winchester Blvd., Campbell, CA.
