Florence MarquezFeb. 8, 1931 - Jan. 5, 2018Resident of San JoseOn January 5th, our wonderful and loving mother joined our father, Deacon Phil Marquez, and brother, Larry Marquez, in heaven. As the surviving children, we will miss her deeply-- Phil Marquez, Jr; Barbara Marquez (David Ginsburg); Ernie Marquez (Kim); and Becky Marquez. Florence is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild as well as her 2 sisters (Isabel Marquez & Rina Flores) and brother (Joe Marmolejo), and many nieces, nephews, and friends.For 86 years, Florence led a vibrant and giving life and was active in many church and community service projects including serving as a trustee on the Mt. Pleasant School Board, and serving as founding member and President of the Grail Development Corporation. Her brilliant smile and joyful laughter will be missed by all.A rosary will be said on Jan. 15th at 7pm at the Chapel of Flowers. The Funeral Mass will be said at Most Holy Trinity Church (2040 Nassau Dr., San Jose) at 10:30am on Jan. 16th. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
