He was the 2nd son of a family of 7 boys and 1 girl. He met and married his college sweetheart, Cynthia. They were married for almost 39 years. They have two adult children, Stephanie and Curtis Cooper IV, and one granddaughter, Aniyah Cooper. George worked as a senior cost analyst in the aerospace field. He actively served his community through numerous service organizations. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid Oakland Raiders Fan.
