George Gonzales

George Gonzales, Jr. Native of San Jose, passed away suddenly on December 19, 2004. He is survived by beloved parents George and Carolina Gonzales, Sr., siblings Gloria Ann Olson (Bill), Diana Gonzales and Alex Gonzales, nieces and nephews Francisco, Ricardo and Kylie. George graduated from St. Lawrence Academy. He received his BA in Political Science from San Jose State University. He used his degree to work on several political campaigns (managing some of them), including Mike Dukakais, Zoe Lofgren, Kathy Chavez and Bill Clinton. He worked as an aide to Zoe Lofgren for many years. He served as a California State Delegate to nominate Bill Clinton for President and was invited to the inauguration. George recently managed a new restaurant and was working very hard to make it a success. He loved baseball and spending time with his nephews at A's games. George was a very generous person sharing his time and resources with anyone in need. He was committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those around him and in the world at large. Viewing from 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2004 at Most Holy Trinity, 2040 Nassau Dr., San Jose. This will be followed by a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the above church on Tuesday followed by burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements by CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, San Jose. Donations to Most Holy Trinity Building for People would be appreciated.
