It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Georgia Lee Brown. She departed from this world on November 4, 2023, due to atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. At the age of 66, Georgia's unexpected death has left her family and friends in deep sorrow and shock.
Georgia was born on October 7, 1957, in Torrance, California. Throughout her life, she embodied kindness and love, always seeing the best in everyone she met. She continuously sought to better herself and lived each day with a radiant spirit. Her happiness knew no bounds, and she shared it generously with those around her.
Educated at Banning High School in Wilmington, CA, Georgia furthered her studies at the NY Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She went on to work in IT for Delta Airlines from 1985 to 2000 and later joined WorldSpan-Travelport LTD until 2004.
A passionate traveler, Georgia explored both domestic and international destinations. Her adventurous spirit led her to embrace new cultures and broaden her horizons.
Georgia possessed many talents that brought joy to her life and others. An artist at heart, she expressed herself through painting and sketching and had a knack for creating exquisite jewelry. On the side, she operated a small business where she shared her artistic creations with others.
Beyond her pursuits as an artist, Georgia held a strong affinity for learning. She eagerly absorbed knowledge throughout her life and nurtured a curious mind.
As a person of integrity and reliability, Georgia could always be counted upon. Her willingness to lend a helping hand extended beyond personal connections; she had an exceptional talent for organizing homes and enjoyed using this skill to assist others.
In her later years, Georgia assumed the role of a caregiver, embodying her selfless nature and nurturing spirit. She brought comfort and support to those in need during their most vulnerable moments.
Georgia's zest for life was contagious. Her light and joy radiated from her presence, leaving an indelible impression on all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. Her laughter remains etched in our memories, forever a testament to the happiness she embraced.
Georgia was preceded in death by her father, Van Brown, her mother, Helen Davenport, and her siblings Walter, Ella, Lillie, Janie, Edward, Alvin, Shirley, and Larry. She is survived by her sister Bertha Brown Butler and nieces Nature Best and Crystal Brown. Additionally, she leaves behind nephews Walter Brown, Milton Brunfield, numerous cousins, and a multitude of cherished friends.
Words cannot encapsulate the depth of our loss or adequately convey how much Georgia will be missed. Her absence from our lives is immeasurable. We take solace in knowing that she has left an enduring imprint with us all as a source of inspiration and love.
