Gilbert Salas

Gilbert Frank Salas Sr., aka LionResident of San Jose Entered into eternal rest on 02/14/11 at the age of 63. Gilbert served in the USMC during the Vietnam War, a member of the 2nd Division Battalion 4th Marine. He was a longtime member of San Jose Alano Club. He enjoyed riding his Harley and spending quality time with friends and family.Preceded in death by his beloved wife Sharlette, loving parents John and Esther Salas, brother Robert and sister Chubby. He is survived by his loving sons Gilbert Jr., Marcus and Jason. Also, survived by his adoring sister Helen. He was the proud grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 2, loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Gilbert is also survived by many members and friends including Bill W.Sharing service will be held on Sunday 2/20/2011 at 6:00pm at Chapel of Flowers. Funeral Service on Monday 2/21/2011 at 10:00am at Chapel of Flowers followed by burial at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
