Hanaly Caalim TacataDec. 13, 1964 - Aug. 10, 2013Resident of San JoseOur beautiful and loving Hanaly left us Saturday 8/10/13 @ 6:35am. She died very peacefully in her sleep at home with her family around her. We immediately missed her cheerful and active presence. She has 4 children whom she has loved, raised, supported and guided through life. Marlon Rosales 26, Marvin Rosales 26, Kimberly Caalim Lang 18, and Vanessa Comparan age 9. She was born in the Philippines on 12/13/1964 and more specifically Pasuquin north Philipines. She has a sister Edna Lynn Caalim, and another sister, Carol Caalim living here in the Bay Area while her brother Edmond and sister Mehinda still live in Pasuquin. Her brother Vergillio passed away last year from cancer. Her mother, Amelia A. Tacata and father, Hemonte M. Tacata passed away when she was younger. She worked at Fairchild Semiconductor during the 80's, then during the 90's at Read Rite Semiconductor followed by a job at Headway Semi. After that she became a waitress for a brief stint at Denny's. Later Hana became a professional homemaker and shopper and lived here in south San Jose with her husband Robert Lang and their children. In 2004, she contracted breast cancer but was declared free of the disease after a mastectomy and chemotherapy. The disease returned in April of 2011. She has been living with metastatic breast cancer for 2 years and 4 months. She never let on that she had this disease and lived bravely, facing it every day. She was on the Kaiser Hospital Plan and they did take very good care of her. Just recently though, she had tried another round of chemotherapy that left her very weak and vulnerable to other complications. We miss her very dearly. A Funeral service for Hanaly will be held Thurs. Aug. 15th with a visitation starting at 9 a.m. at Chapel of Flowers, San Jose. Burial to follow will conclude her services at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
