Harold Clyde Coleman Of San Jose, Calif., passed away on July 2, 2004. Harold was born December 27, 1932, in Baldwin Park, Calif., to Theresa Marie Smith, an aircraft assembler from Oklahoma and Alonzo James Coleman, a foreman in construction from Colorado. Harold spent most of his childhood in Southern California, until he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1949. He served in the Korean conflict until 1953. Upon finishing his duties in the Air Force he relocated to San Jose, Calif., where he worked in construction for several years. After that he started driving trucks in the Teamsters Union, hauling various materials both long distance and locally. Once he retired from the Teamsters, he became an owner operator of his own rig and delivered cryogenics for Air Products in the Bay area. Upon retirement he spent a lot of time fishing and enjoying his gourmet cooking. He is survived by his wife, Carmelita Kakos of 45 years, his daughters Cindee Chaves and Julia Hartman, son-in-laws, Russell Chaves and Brad Hartman, Jr. Grandsons, James Lafayette and Brandon Welch and granddaughters Courtnie Chaves, Savanna Hartman and Madison Hartman. He is also survived by his sister Louise Kosier and brother-in-law Robert Kosier as well as their sons Steven, Richard and Kenneth. Family and friends are invited to attend viewing Thursday, July 8, 2004, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at THE CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, 900 S. 2nd St., San Jose, Calif. Funeral services will be held at The Chapel of the Flowers Friday, July 9, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. with Graveside services to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery at the "Field of Honor".
