PARKER, Harry Joseph-- Attorney, at rest February 3, 2002 in Santa Clara. Mr. Parker was born on August 27, 1924 in San Francisco, CA. He grew up in San Francisco and attended St. Ignatius High School and law school at USF. Mr. Parker served in the US Military as a Navy Pilot in WWII. Thereafter he attended law school and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1952.Mr. Parker went to work at the State Compensation Insurance Fund until 1954. In 1954 he became the Assistant District Attorney for Monterey County until 1958 when he joined the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office and was a Deputy District Attorney achieving the position of Chief Trial Attorney. Mr. Parker worked at the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office until 1969 and then started his own criminal defense practice until he retired in 1993.Mr. Parker is survived by his brother, John T. Parker, cousin, The Reverend Thomas Burns, his former wife, Marian H. Parker, his daughters, Carol Anne Gairaud and Susan J. Parker, grandchildren, Teresa, David and Randy, 3 great-grandchildren, nephews, John, Richard, Gary, Michael, Robert and James and many cherished friends. Mr. Parker also loved and cared for the family dogs, ""Bear"" and ""Sundance"" (Sunny). Mr. Parker was mostly of Irish decent and loved to sing the song ""Danny Boy."" He was a warm hearted and funny man who lived life to it's fullest. He will be dearly missed by his family and many cherished friends.Friends are invited to attend Visitation at CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, 900 S. 2nd St., San Jose on Saturday, February 9, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the above chapel.
