Jack Delaney BrownellSept. 19, 1931 - July 13, 2014San JoseJack Brownell, 82, went to be with the Lord, now at peace. San Jose resident since 1960. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii to the late Theodore & Catherine Brownell. Early childhood years Cavitti City, Philippines, a Navy brat evacuated prior to invasion - So. Pacific conflicts. Attended Subiaco Academy, Fort Smith, Arkansas and finished school at South San Francisco High, Class of 1950. He was a Lithographer by trade for 28 years, and finished his career in roofing sales & mgmt for 15 years. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ, continually spreading the Gospel message up to the end as only Jack could do. His early years he was a Catholic Lay Evangelist and was instrumental in the early 1960's, the beginning of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Northern California. He served and spoke at many Cursillo's & local protestant churches. And later served on various conference committees for the Renewal both local, a National Conference. He continued serving faithfully both his parish and the local Catholic Charismatic community until Dementia had stolen his vitality. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Irene Bono Brownell and son, Marc & wife Patty, daughter Suzanne & husband Wayne, and son Jeffery; grandchildren: James, Christine, Savannah, Jonathan & Trevor; great grandchildren: Kori; his loving and only brother Richard Brownell, Nieces and nephew: Nana, Sharon and Theodore; along with many close friends. Services held at: Saint Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church, 1522 McCoy Ave., Campbell. Vigil Celebration 7 pm Fri. August 1st & Funeral Mass 11 am Sat. August 2nd.
