James Tisano

UntitledJames TisanoJames age 91, was born, grew up, and graduated high school in CT. He worked at Yale and Towne Hardware and foundry. He later worked in dress manufacturing in New York City. Joined the Army in 1940 and served the duration of WWII. He later became an airplane inspector in CT. He married Athelia Wells in 1943. Went to FL. for the winter. In 1945 drove to Los Angeles and moved to Glendale. Then moved near LAX to work for North American Aviation making Fighter Jets for the Korean War. In 1961 went to work for Lockeed Missile & Space Division in Sunnyvale and retired in 1971. Moved to Modesto, then Las Vegas, and back to Modesto. He was married to his wife Athelia of 57 years who passed 3 1/2 years ago. They took 6 trips to Hawaii. Had 3 extensive tours in Australia for 5-7-9 weeks, visiting the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney.He is survived by his son James a Physical Ed. Teacher in San Jose (wife - Maggie), granddaughter Natalie age 6. He was the oldest of 7 brothers and sisters. He moved to Valley Village in Dec. 2003 and enjoyed it very much.
