Jess Castellanos

Jess Castellanos Was born March 15, 1926 in Madera, California. He later moved to Santa Clara County where he spent the rest of his years. Jess was a devoted worker and worked for Kaiser Aluminum for 47 years. Jess more importantly enjoyed the outdoors. He was a real tough guy, a fisherman and a hunter. He enjoyed taking his family and friends camping. He was known for leaving his mark on everything. "Casty". Jess enjoyed taking trips with his family to Reno and Lake Tahoe. In February of 1996, Jess suffered a life changing stroke. He had been left bedridden and wasn't able to continue enjoying the outdoors. Jess passed away on November 2, 2005 at 10:40 p.m. Jess was an honest man and kind to those he loved and those that he cherished. His brothers and sister were very dear to him. Jess also had a special kindness for his grandchildren, they could do no wrong and he always had a smile or an apple for them. Jess will be deeply missed. He will be forever in our hearts and our memories, he will never be forgotten. Visitation will be today from 2:00-9:00 with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. 2nd St., San Jose, CA. Inurnment with honors will take place Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
