Jesus Perez Romero at the age of 55, died peacefully September 29, 2009, surrounded by his children in his home after a yearlong battle with gastric cancer. Jesus was born February 18, 1954, in Joliet, Illinois, son of Paulino and Maria Romero and brother to Robert Nava, Paul Romero, Eddie Romero, Raymond Romero, Manuel Romero, Ruben Romero, Louie Romero, Charlie Romero, Ruben Romero, Mary Romero, Hortencia Romero, Corina Romero, Rachel Romero and Rosie Romero. He moved to San Jose in 1966, attended James Lick High School, met and married his wife Kathy in 1974, and retired from the United States Postal Service in early 2009. Jesus was a religious man, an avid lover of music, and an exceptional father to his children. He played numerous instruments but the guitar was his favorite. He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him. Jesus is survived by his daughters, Christina Romero, Rosemarie Cisneroz, Kathleen Romero; sons Jesse Romero, Jose Romero, and Rodney Romero; daughter-in-law, Agustina Moreno, son-in-laws Richard Navidad, Richard Cisneroz; and grandchildren; Richard, Nick, Alassandra, Michael, Tommy, Alexander, Joseph, Charlie, Daniel, Jesse III, Alias, and Aliana. The Rosary will be held at 7pm, Monday, October 5 at the Chapel of Flowers, 900 S 2nd Street, San Jose. A Catholic mass will be held at 10am Tuesday, October 6 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 2020 E. San Antonio St., San Jose. In honor of our father we ask people who will be attending the services to wear dark blue, Jesus' favorite color. Please send flowers to the Chapel of Flowers.
