Joe Morales GarciaResident of Santa Clara After a long battle with cancer, Joe died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born in Del Rio, Texas on June 14, 1926 to Jose and Juanita Garcia, he moved to California in 1940. Joe was a retired heavy equipment operator and proud member of the Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 since 1956. His passion for golf began at the age of 18. He continued to play up to the age of 84 and was a member of several golf organizations. On December 20, 1947 he married Carmen Torres and had 4 children: Mary Delgado (deceased), Irene Kilmer, Joe Garcia and Rebecca Sheets. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.Rosary at Chapel of the Flowers, 900 South 2nd Street, San Jose on Sunday, April 17th at 7:00 p.m. Mass at St. Justin Parish, 2655 Homestead Road, Santa Clara on Monday, April 18th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
