John De mattei

UntitledJohn De MatteiNative of San Jose, passed away July 2nd at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose De Mattei. He leaves behind his children, Dennis De Mattei and Diane Mayeau. He was the loving grandfather to Steve Mayeau, Eric Mayeau and John Stephen De Mattei. He served in the U.S. Army, during WW II, as Commanding Officer of the 89th Veterinary Medical Detachment. He worked for the Calif. State Dept. of Agriculture, Bureau of Animal Health. He was Veterinarian in Charge for the 13 Coastal Calif. Counties. Rosary is set for Monday, July 9th at 6pm at the Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. 2nd St., San Jose. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 10th, 10am at Holy Cross Church, 580 Jackson St., San Jose.
