MendezAs daughter Cindy Mendez and her family stood vigil at his side, John entered peacefully into rest at his home in San Jose, on the 15th of February, 2007, thus becoming reunited with his beloved wife; the late Rita Mendez. John was always known to his 6 children, 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as a strong, caring, unselfish, giving, loving, humorous and truly unforgettable man. Friends are invited to attend a visiting on Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. Second St., San Jose. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 pm in the above chapel, interment following at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
