Joy Ann MaggettiJan. 8, 1927 - Aug. 16, 2018Resident of San JoseThe Matriarch of the Maggetti Family, Joy Ann left this earth on August 16, 2018 to join her husband Eddie and be forever together.Joy was born to Louis Henry and Anna Christensen. One of eight siblings Joy is survived by her brother James Christensen and her sister Jan Etheredge.Married 46 years Joy leaves behind five children; Stephen (Vickie), Jody (Steve), Mitchell, David (Heather) and daughter Lizbeth. In addition, Joy was the proud grandmother to Dina, Stephanie, Dustin, Michael, Myles, Montana, Nic, Joe, Dominique, Giavanna, and Allessandra. Great grandchildren Amanda, Samantha, Grace, Sean Edward, and Maddux. Joy lived a full and prosperous life surrounded by family and many friends. After the loss of her husband in 1990 Joy became very involved in the Catholic Church and one of the many things that brought her happiness was being able to facilitate grief counseling groups.Mom, Momma, Grandma Joy, Nanny, and Granny were just some of the names her family referred to her by. She was a strong, vibrant, and at times a "no nonsense woman" whose presence on this earth left it just a little better place to be. Her legacy will be carried on for years to come and although gone she will not be forgotten.The family and friends will be celebrating Joy's life with a Mass at Saint Christopher's Church on August 30th at 10:00am."Always Running Against the Wind Mom."
