In the quiet moments of June 20th, 2024, Juan De La Cerda bid farewell to this world, leaving behind a legacy of love and memories. A native of Eagle Pass, Texas, he was born on September 5th, 1950, and now finds solace in the embrace of eternal rest.
Juan's presence was a beacon of affection and warmth, his absence keenly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a profound void that resonates through the hearts of his loved ones.
Survived by his dear children - Christina, Theresa, and Juanito/Mijo; his Son-In-Laws Jose Dominguez and Michael Asprer; his Grandchildren Alicia, Joeanna and Grandson-in-law Edgar, Mikey and granddaughter-in-law Mindy, Christina, Marisa, Jose and granddaughter-in-law Adilenne, Nicholas, and Isaiah; and his Great Grandchildren Ayla, Sundust, Adrian, Aaliyah, Andre, Julian, Amya & Kehlani - Juan's lineage is a testament to the love he sowed in this world.
In addition to his immediate family, Juan is also survived by his bonus children Kathy, Jonell & Stephanie; Son-In-Law Kelly; Grandkids Jeremy, Justin, Jessica, Tyler, Kelly Ella Jacob Jonathan Jordan; and Great Grandchildren Teagan & Cade. The bonds he formed with each soul touched by his joyful presence remain unbroken despite the veil of separation.
As life weaves its intricate tapestry of joy and sorrow, Juan experienced both ends of this spectrum. In moments of heartache still fresh in memory lie the losses he bore: Nancy - a beloved bonus child; Greg - a cherished Son-In-Law; Joshua - a dear grandchild. Amidst these shadows lingered the enduring light of love shared with those who journeyed alongside him.
Now reunited in realms beyond our mortal gaze stands Juan and his beloved wife Alice. Her departure at the tender age of 37 in 1987 marked an irreplaceable chapter in their shared narrative - a tale now continued in realms beyond our earthly bounds.
In reflections upon Juan's life resonate echoes of simpler pleasures: moments spent enraptured by his favorite game show, the Price is Right; WWE's electrifying and captivating theatrics; Western movies and TV dramas were his favorite genre where the good guys fought the bad guys and the good guys always won. The siren call of the casino beckoned him towards countless hours lost to the thrill of chance. Gatherings steeped in camaraderie over cards or Loteria wove vivid threads into the fabric of cherished memories. Amidst it all stood his affection for tinkering with mechanical marvels under the hood - each task undertaken with care as he savored a "Dilly Dilly" libation.
As we gather within the shadows cast by grief's gentle embrace may we find solace in knowing that although Juan walks beyond our mortal reach now - he resides still within our hearts' treasury and memory's abode. Forever enshrined amidst whispers carried by time's tender caress - Juan's spirit dances eternally among us all.
