Lawrence Paul Faber Jr.Apr. 23, 1920-Nov. 26, 2014Resident of Palo AltoLarry was born in Palo Alto, CA as the only child of Larry Paul Faber of Palo Alto and Helen Keegan Faber of Chicago, Illinois. Larry graduated from Sequoia High School and attended Menlo College before joining the US Army. He was stationed in the Midwest where he met and married Agnes Loretta Berlo. They settled in St. Louis, Missouri where their only child, daughter Micki was born in 1944. Larry graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with an MS degree in Electrical Engineer. The family moved to Palo Alto in 1955 so Larry could take a job with Lockheed Missiles and Space. He later worked for Fairchild Semiconductor in South San Jose. He also worked for years for Joseph Olson Consultants as an expert witness related to lawsuits concerning electrical practices, equipment and machinery. Larry worked on a ranch as a youth in the Woodside area and developed an interest in horses that continued his whole life. He was a member of the Shack Riders and the San Mateo Co. Horsemen's Association. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a long time member of the Elks Club in Palo Alto. Larry was preceded in death by his first wife Loretta in 1999. He married his second wife Ila Alice Ehlers in 2002. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Micki in 2013. He is survived by his wife Ila, his loving granddaughters, Danielle Thompson of Stockton, Nicole Thompson of San Francisco, and his son-law Gary Thompson of San Jose.
