Luis was born in Puerto Rico to Ignacio and Amelia (Reyes)Matos. He was a CA resident since 1976. Luis was a retired US postal worker.Luis Amado is survived by daughter, Mercedes (Matos) Millhouse and husband, Jim from CT, sons, Luis Amado Matos, Jr., and companion, Melisande Hoffmann from PA, Jose Ignacio Matos and wife, Virginia (Lee) Matos, Modesto, Luis Eduardo Matos, Campbell, Daniel Matos, San Jose, Ruben Matos and wife, Hilda of AZ, daughter, Idali (Matos) Garcia, SanJose and Felix Matos, Concord, Gregory Matos, San Jose and Orlando Matos and companion, Elizabeth Munoz, San Jose. He also leaves 15 grandchildren, a special nephew, Emilio Legono and first wife, Cecilia Reyes. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his infant son, Eliezer Matos, brothers, Armindo Matos, Castro Matos, and sister Monin Matos.Committal Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wed. Oct. 18th at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, San Jose. Arrangements by Chapel of Flowers.
