UntitledMarell Ann Levansaler CarrAt age 69 on May 20, 2006 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Marell was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Russell Levansaler. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Richard; two daughters Mary Carr and Eileen McGough; four sons and four grandchildren.Marell was born in Vallejo, California on March 2, 1937. She attended St. Vincent's High where she graduated in 1954 with honors in mathematics. She graduated from St. Mary's College of nursing and enjoyed a 40 year nursing career at Vallejo General, San Jose Hospital and the California PEO Home, where she served as Director of Nurses before her forced retirement in 1999. She also served as a teacher's aide at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School, where she made many friends. In her spare time, Marell enjoyed crocheting and counted cross stitch.Friends are invited to a visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and the rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26 th at Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. 2nd St., San Jose. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Vianney, 4601 Hyland Ave, San Jose at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 27th. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Marell's name to the Parkinson Institute, 1170 Morse, Sunnyvale, 94087.
