Margaree "Margaret" EvansOct. 21, 1934 - April 10, 2017San Jose, CAMargaret Evans peacefully passed away in her sleep at Kaiser Santa Teresa on April 10th after a brief illness, 5 years to the date of the death of her husband, William Evans.Born in Monticello, MS, she was a resident of San Jose for 57 years. Married to her loving husband William for 59 years. She was a loving mother to Annette, Elnora (deceased), Evon, Janice, William Jr. (deceased, Tammy), Marvin (Sunil) and Deloris (Robert). She also leaves behind sister, Julia Brown (MS), 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.A bowler, bingo player and a fashionista before it was trendy, Margaret lived for her kids. They were her life. An excellent cook, she was well known for her potato salad.A service will be held on Friday, April 21st, 2017 at Chapel of Flowers, 900 South 2nd St. San Jose, CA, with the viewing starting at 1pm. A repast will immediately follow.A private internment will be held on Monday, April 24th at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella, CA.
