Martin F. BarreraSept. 12, 1935 - May 13, 2012Resident of Rio Vista, CaMartin F. Barrera, died on Sunday, May 13, at his home in Rio Vista, Ca. He was born September 12, 1935, in Mason, Texas, to Bicente and Minnie Barrera. In 1953 he moved to Sunnyvale, Ca. and married Mary Robles in 1958. They raised three children, Mark, deceased August 10, 2010, and daughters, Laura Cortez and Debbie (Mike) Fernandez. He had nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is survived by his domestic partner Carmen N. Martinez of Rio Vista, CA, sisters, Virginia (Sam) Valdez, Olie Maldonaldo, Annie (Richard) Gaxiola and his deceased sister Diana McDaniel. Visitation Monday, 5/21, from 6-9pm at Chapel of Flowers with rosary at 7pm. Funeral service on Tuesday, 5/22, at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery's St. Claire Chapel at 11am, 490 Lincoln Ave., Santa Clara, CA 95050.
