Mildred Charlotte DeMattei Glover LentzSept. 14, 1918 - March 1, 2015Resident of San JosePassed away peacefully in her home of 69 years. Born in San Jose, CA, the only child of Julio DeMattei and Rachael Nicora. Mildred attended St. Patricks's School and graduated from Notre Dame HS in 1937, maintaining many friendships throughout her life from her early school days. After attending Heald College for business, she worked for Foremost McKesson Liquor Distributors and then San Jose Unified School Dist at the Regional Vocational Center.Mildred was a member of the Italian American Heritage Club and San Jose Elk's #522. Her favorites included spending time with family & friends, gambling and dancing with Herb. Mildred was predeceased by her husbands, Elmer Glover (1966) and Herbert Lentz (2001). She is survived by her grandchildren James (Marsha) Hamner, Gary, Veldeen and Craig Hamner and Karen Pillig; great-grandchildren Jack (Stefanie) Hamner and John (Thais) Hamner, great great-grandchildren Alexandria, Matteo, Megan, Jessica and Ryan Hamner; her cousin David Farewell (Kathy) and his children Stephen, Matthew and Katie.Visitation will be at Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. 2nd St, San Jose, Friday, March 13 from 5-9 pm, with the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass will be on Saturday, March 14 at 12:00 noon. Celebration of life luncheon will follow the Mass.Donations can be made to Sacred Heart Charities, 1381 S. 1st St., San Jose.
