Ralph 'Tapie' Gomez Resident of San Jose With deep sadness we announce the passing of Ralph 'Tapie' Gomez (46 yrs) May 8, 2013. Ralph joined his father Narciso Gomez and sister Linda 'Gata' Gomez in Heaven. A native of East San Jose, CA, Ralph was born to Narciso & Lucy Gomez on Nov. 23, 1966, the baby of 11 children. Survived by his wife of 26 years Vicky, daughters Isabel Gomez, mother 2, Cpl. Elizabeth Gomez active duty US Army & veteran of war on terrorism Iraq and Afghanistan, Stella Gomez ( mother of 1) and son Ralph Gomez Jr., father of 3. Tapie loved spending time with his family and his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his 6 grandchildren. Fun loving is the word that best describes Tapies soul. His magnetic personality and his light-hearted perspective on life clearly influenced his many nieces and nephews. While he had many interests, he was mostly known for being a long time 49ers fan. Services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Chapel of Flowers, 900 2nd St., San Jose, CA 95112. Visitation will begin at 10am followed by services from 2-4pm.
