Raymond E. Andre (Our Hero) July 5, 1935-March 14, 2009 Preceded by parents Raymond & Eva Andre, brother Bob Rose/Margaret, & sister Alberta Narvaez. Survived by adoring sister Desiree Coelho/("Bud") Joe, beloved children Raymond, Evette, Edward, & Melody Andre, loving step-daughter Renee Houshmand/Darius, 3 cherished grandchildren, Sean, Jake & Sage - Also survived by former spouses LaVetta & Linda Andre, and dearest soul mate Joanne Tibbetts. His fun loving nature ever remembered by a host of nieces, nephews and treasured friends. He had enlisted in the US Army and served 1955-1957. After his honorable discharge from Military Service, he was a valued employee at Kragen's, and later, Paul Navarra Truck dismantlers. Founded "Bullshift" Transmission Shop. He was "Pops" to the many who were recipients of his generous hospitality, serving up kindness along with the delicious meals he prided himself in. His artistic talent was evident in his beautiful hand-crafted knives. He loved music, sports, cars, and charmed all with his colorful stories & Steinbeck-esque writing ability. He had a lifelong trust in the Lord and a determination to be happy no matter what. He was "King" of the "one liner" and brought the party with him wherever he went. "Cheers" and tears forever - rest happy - your fan club- Visitation from 5 - 9 p.m. on Friday, March 20 at Chapel of Flowers, 900 South 2nd Street, San Jose. Vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
