Richard Lee RizzoAug. 20, 1942 - Nov. 22, 2019 San JoseRichard Lee Rizzo, age 77 passed in peace on Friday November 22, 2019 surrounded by life-long friends. Preceded in death by his loving parents Harold F. Rizzo and Ileen Rizzo of San Jose, Rich was born on August 20 1942. Educated in the Jesuit tradition at Bellarmine College Prep where he played Varsity Football and at Santa Clara University Class of 1965 where he forged a path of humility with the goal of service to others , especially the poor, the homeless, and seniors in nursing homes, Retired from the County of San Mateo, he remained active in the Kiwanas and Toastmasters of Willow Glen. His passion for "all things sports "led to supporting SJSU Alumni Football Quarterback Club and sponsoring USC Youth Baseball Camps. He loved trains, travel and his Church. We will miss his humble spirit compassion for those who suffer, kindness and generosity.... but most of all...his unbridled enthusiasm.
