UntitledRobert Lee MeltonPassed away April 30th, 2006 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Sharon Ann Melton for 40 years, loving father to Randy of San Luis Ayucan, Mexico and Dale of Portland, Oregon. Bob and his grandaughter Ruth Aileen (of San Luis Ayucan, Mexico) mutually delighted in each other. He is also survived by his older brother Dean of Stockton. Bob moved to San Jose in 1961 and worked for 35 years in Child Protective Services for Santa Clara County, California. He loved gardening, hiking, golf, bridge, travel, good science fiction, good jazz and good theater. His family and friends will dearly miss him.A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. 2nd Street, San Jose. A separate viewing time begins at 10:30 a.m. also in the Chapel of Flowers. The family requests that friends and family make donations to the Sierra Club, the San Jose Jazz Society or the San Jose Repertory Theater instead of flowers.
